*~Donkey Rock Teen Camp 2010~*

WOW! What can I say...Donkey Rock Teen camp has come and gone. This week was absolutely amazing! The theme this year was "Donkey Rock~It's not just another place"...I went up on Saturday, and this year was the first time in history that we had "Sysco" bring up all the camp food. It worked out great. It was really cool... The camp evangelist this year was Bro. Bertram. He did an awesome job! The preaching was good, and the altar calls were EXCELLENT! Every year on the first day we take a count of those that don't have the Holy Ghost. Well we had 12 stand up, and I am happy to report that 8 of the 12 got the Holy Ghost. Thank you Jesus! My job this year since I am to old to be a camper was dishwasher. The job can be tough sometimes, but it really is a lot of fun. My help this year were: Andrew Klann and Nick Conley. They were also campers, so they had a lot on their plate, but they did an awesome job. Thank you guys!... Also my mom went up for the went 2. She helped out in the kitchen she had a lot of fun. This year was Bro.Conley's first year in charge of the kitchen, and I have to say that he did a TREMENDOUS job! The food was awesome! Every year at least one day out of the week the staff have a water fight. Well this year the lady counselors got Bro. Hernandez really good. They had him in a corner, and they soaked him good. It was fun to watch lol.. Well Wednesday night after the service all the staff and campers gathered down at the bonfire, and had some entertainment. There were skits, guitar playing with singing. The skits were hilarious! We had one featuring Bro. Biggo and Bro Huge from "All you can eat tabernacle" LOL.. That's about all I can say because you would have had to be there lol...I have pictures to show you :)...This year Elder Morton climbed Donkey Rock because he turned 70 this year. Bro. Regnart, Bro. Hernandez, and Bro. Lackey climbed it with him on Wednesday morning. He made it all the way, and had a story to tell when he got back. They ran into a rattlesnake, and he shot it. My pastor inspires me in so many ways I thank God for my pastor. Also Elder Morton taught one of the classes, and he talked on the second most important thing in life; which is marriage. It was very good that they typed up the notes, so they hand them out. When I get a copy I will post it on here... Well every year on friday morning they take some of the campers, and staff up to climb Donkey Rock. Well this year we had about 85 campers and about 12 staff members climb the rock. This was my 3rd year climbing it, and it was very pretty at the top. This year everybody that went made it to the top.This was the first year that nobody stayed behind. The climb went slow because there was a lot of people, but it was good because it is a very hard and tiring climb. Thank God nobody got hurt! :)... Well there is a lot more that I can say about camp, but I am going to stop it here, and just say that camp was tremendous this year, and I can't wait till next year. :)...For you that went to Teen camp...
